In this article, I’d like to briefly share the approach SAME TE STUDIO uses when working on projects.
For us, it’s important that the process is clear, structured, and comfortable both for the client and for our team.
Clear agreements and transparent communication are exactly what help us achieve high-quality results.
Direct communication with the developer
We don’t use the model where a manager communicates with the client and then forwards the tasks to the developer.
In website development projects, you communicate directly with the developer who is actually doing the work.
This brings several advantages:
- information doesn’t get lost between multiple intermediaries;
- questions are resolved faster;
- technical details are explained correctly;
- both the client and the team save time.
This format makes the process much more efficient and transparent.
Text-based communication as a priority
We prefer written communication rather than voice messages or phone calls.
The reason is simple: text preserves agreements.
This means:
- we can always return to the context;
- nothing gets lost during discussions;
- tasks are described as clearly as possible;
- the client can see the full history of decisions and changes.
This approach keeps communication structured and removes many potential misunderstandings.
Technical hours don’t mean a full day on a single project
A developer’s working time is counted as technical hours, which may be distributed across different days.
We handle several projects in parallel – which is a standard practice for a studio.
What this means for the client:
- there is an agreed scope of work or hours;
- the work is delivered within the agreed timeline;
- this doesn’t mean an entire day is dedicated only to one project;
- we keep a stable workload and don’t stop other processes.
Development on a staging domain
During development, the website is placed on our staging domain.
We share the link with the client once there is already something meaningful to show – not at the stage of empty layouts or test blocks.
Why this is more convenient:
- we avoid chaotic edits to unfinished pages;
- the client sees a structured, visually complete result;
- we can stay focused on the work rather than comments on every interim step;
- it saves time for both sides.
We work in stages – and we present the results in stages as well.
How we work with revisions
We collect revisions in batches rather than as separate scattered messages sent at different times.
This allows us to process them faster and more systematically.
According to the contract, the Client is entitled to two (2) iterations of design and/or functionality revisions within the agreed technical scope.
All revisions beyond this limit or outside the approved technical brief are performed under a separate agreement and may require additional payment.
Optimal revision format:
- text + screenshot;
- structured by pages or sections;
- preferably in a single document or email;
- with optional labels such as «mandatory» / «nice-to-have», if there are many items.
This approach helps preserve the logic of the website and prevents the final stage from turning into an endless stream of micro-changes.
Project workflow
Our standard collaboration process looks like this:
- discussion of the task and definition of the technical scope;
- estimation of timeline and cost;
- agreement on the collaboration terms and prepayment;
- website development on the staging domain;
- presentation of the result;
- implementation of approved revisions;
- final payment;
- migration of the website to the main domain;
- ongoing support if required.
We strive to ensure that every stage is fully clear to the client.
Mutual respect for time
We treat deadlines and agreements responsibly – and we expect the same in return.
Timely submission of materials, access credentials, and responses helps speed up the process
and avoid delays.
Collaboration becomes comfortable when both sides show trust, openness, and readiness to follow agreed timelines.
Why clients value our approach
Our work format is about:
- open communication in simple language;
- a logical project structure;
- transparent agreements, clear stages, and expectations;
- attention to detail and high-quality results.
For us, it’s important not just to «build a website», but to create a comfortable partnership where both sides clearly understand what is happening and why – at every stage.
If this collaboration format feels right to you –
SAME TE STUDIO will be happy to become your partner in web development.
